Nanofixit is nanotech for clean screens!

The future is here! Nanotech is now on hand to…er…clean your cellphones? That’s right, the biggest advancement in recent scientific history is now at your fingertips, literally.

Brought to you by a team of European and Asian businessmen, Nanofixit is a brand of nano chemical liquid that is about to make plastic sheet screen protectors obsolete. Initially, this awesome product has been touted to make any glass screen on your cellular phone or tablet more than 10 times more scratch resistant.

Working in the events industry like I do, my phone takes a major beating every day. It has gotten icing on it, had candy and chocolate dripped on its screen, and it’s even gotten stuck to my craft mat. I’ve been forced to answer it while my fingers were coated in breading and when they were dripping in fish guts. My cats have sneezed on it, chewed on it, licked it, and tried to catch the weird flashing light that comes on when an alarm comes on.

That can add up to some serious damage. I’ve had to replace the plastic cover once, and the phone’s hardly a year old yet.

I love this game! Claws? What claws, mommy?

But with Nanofixit, plastic sheets to protect screens might become a thing of the past – which is a good thing. A non-toxic glass coating that serves as an invisible shield protecting any glass surface, Nanofixit is made up of practically pure silicon dioxide extracted from quartz and sand. It bonds with your screen, and doesn’t make use of any glues or adhesives. It bonds with your screen through a quantum force.

If only I could coat my TV with this stuff.

Because it’s so stuck on to the surface of your phone, there’s no space for pesky air bubbles to form; and because each molecule of the solution is 500x thinner than a single human hair, it seals the microscopic pores of the surface, effectively protecting it against abrasions, dirt, grease, and grime. It even serves as a defense against bacteria, since the critters can’t catch a hold on the super-slick surface. To clean your screen, all you need to do is wipe it with a soft cloth. No more streaks, or grime stuck to the screen.

And it has its own nifty container, too!

What I like about it most is that it’s safe to use around pets and food, being absolutely non toxic, food safe and water based. No more worries about the kittens accidentally getting my phone after I swabbed it with antibacterial solution!

This stuff is finally available in the Philippines! Check out their website here: http://www.nanofixit.com and a short video below. 🙂 Happy cleaning!
